NGO Proaktiva with financial support from Ministry of environment and physical planning — R. Macedonia, began with realization of the project «Capacity building of students and science teachers in primary schools in the municipality of Aerodrom» as part of the implementation of SPARE educative program in the municipality of Aerodrom, Skopje.
The project will be implemented in the next 9 months (from 01.06.2010 to 28.02.2011) in seven primary schools which are in jurisdiction of the partner-municipality. The project goals will be realized trough constructive activities which are based on SPARE educative program.
The project activities will start with realization of questionnaire which will provide valid information as base for implementing the activities from energy efficient field.
The educative process will start with training for science teachers from the primary schools and trough additional classes for energy, climate and environment aimed for the students with support of SPARE educative materials developed by the professional team from NGO Proaktiva. All educative materials are according to principles of the educative system in R. Macedonia.
Teachers will be provided with applicative tools for upgrading the quality of science program. Additional classes will result with raising the awareness for environmental issues.
With the implementation of the education and training the primary school will be prepared for there inclusion in the International SPARE network for primary schools. Future activities of the primary schools will be initiated with announcing the national contest for energy efficient projects. The national contest will function as filter for inclusion of the R. Macedonia in the international contest for primary school student projects for saving energy SPARE 2010. This contest is the best way of approaching the best practice in implementation of the educative material from environmental field.

Realization of this project will provide continuity of SPARE program in R. Macedonia as well as sustaining the SPARE concept: To transform the global issues in practical activities for students and population.
