
In Uzbekistan the Association of children clubs (ADEK) has implemented SPARE since 2001; with help from the Ecological club Eremurus. ADEK has spread the project to schools in all counties of the country. ADEK has established a good cooperation with Center of retraining of teachers on national and regional level, and is by this training around 250 teachers in sustainable energy and climate every year. ADEK and Eremurus is also implementing window restoration projects.

We invite you to join the SPARE international energy saving day on the 11th of November 2009.
Saving energy is important for improvement of local and global environment. Nobody can do everything, but if everybody does something, we can achieve a lot together! In order to increase attention for the importance of energy saving, SPARE arranges an international energy saving day. Schools and pupils from many countries will participate, and we invite also your school to join!

Norges Naturvernforbund/Friends of the Earth Norway has for several years cooperated with NGO partners in EECCA region on education, practical projects and policy development around energy and climate issues. We have now got the possibility to invite most of our NGO cooperation partners to Oslo, and on the 3rd of June we use the opportunity to arrange a conference on energy and climate in the Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA-region).

On the 11th of November in Uzbekistan the SPARE international energy saving day was celebrated in 18 schools and 191 participants in the clubs passed about the classes and described to students about the program, the anthropogenic environmental effect, about global climate change and the program SPARE.
International SPARE meeting in Karaganda 25th-27th of April 2008

SPARE coordinators from 11 countries have in the end of April been gathered for international SPARE meeting in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. The coordinators have been discussing results and development of educational and practical energy activities. The activity of SPARE is higher than ever, with 3 000 schools and 150 000 pupils participating in the project during the educational year 2007-2008.
