School level

If you have interest and some fantasy, there are few limits for what the teacher and the kids can do together in order to investigate or realise energy saving measures!

The authors of SPARE have focus on practical activity, but the project material also contains energy theory. It differs from school to school and teacher to teacher what they emphasise, but very often it is the practical work that engage the pupils more…

The teachers are free to be creative about the lessons. Many different components can be included, like:

• Group work - interdisciplinary
• Competitions
• Invite specialists
• Go on excursions
• Arrange exhibitions
• Make theatre
• Role games
• Play detectives - investigate the travel route and energy use for transport of food, for example, or trace the producer of the energy you receive when you switch on the lamp in the classroom.
