Humanitarian Gymnasium them. St. St. Cyril and Methodius "(Veliko Tarnovo) in Bulgaria develops active in energy conservation since 2002. Since 2008 it has actively participated in the program is a school-SPARE. After working with the Russian school-SPARE (MOU Gymnasium № 1 of the Bryansk region ") correspondence and teleconferencing groups high schools have decided to jointly hold a series SPARE events in Bulgaria in May 2010. It aroused great interest of teachers and pupils. Plans were made to the 10-day SPARE-festival. The Bulgarian side has sent invitations for 8 persons of the Russian organization. Students of the two countries were preparing projects, crafts, posters, performances, concerts. The question of financing the trip was difficult. But the program SPARE-a very famous school program in the region. Therefore, all travel expenses paid for the Administration of the Bryansk region, local sponsors paid for the visa, the Bulgarian school paid for meals and a partial stay. Some contribution was made by each participant travel. And the trip was! At 4 am the representatives of the Humanitarian Gymnasium. "St. St. Cyril and Methodius "met the Russian team at the station and drove into a cozy home by a member of the school. Here, our group lived and had a traditional Bulgarian meals 4 times a day and kindly communicated to the owners: Filo and Diana Nikolov.

Competition of drowings.
Bulgarian students formalized school halls SPARE-exhibits, drawings, crafts, projects, even before our arrival. They presented all 65 (!!!) projects that they sent to the contest SPARE Bulgaria from this school in 2009. They left the hall for registration of the Russian delegation. We have presented the material that produced the members of NGO "Viola", Bryansk school number 17 and number 1 and, of course, Gymnasium № 1 of the Bryansk region. We spent a lot of interesting events that have caused concern not only the team of teachers and students of this school, but the city administration, representatives of museums, a large number of media.
We spent the days of the Festival: Competition for international teams for the production of posters, participate in the International Day of Journalists from numerous interviews to newspapers and television, exchange gifts and crafts, participate in the contest of projects and presentations on energy conservation and climate, visit the open-SPARE lessons in biology, chemistry, physics. These lessons are teacher Bulgarian school, working on the program SPARE and other international programs on energy conservation with the UK, Ukraine, France, Romania, Russia. Adults meeting participants held a joint meeting of the administrations of high schools and NGO's "Viola": given an analysis of their activities, summarized and outlined the joint work for 2010-2011, compared the methods of SPARE in different countries.
Our international team visited the village of traditional Bulgarian crafts. Here we had a tour and research work to identify the different methods of water use in mountain rivers for life and production: sawing logs, leather tanning, homemade laundry, textiles, grinding metal. We collected the materials and the use of wind energy for drying fabrics, grinding grain, modern wind turbines. And in Gabrovo zoo we met with tailless breeds of cats, which help the Bulgarian people to keep warm in their homes! As part of the Festival-SPARE we conducted the action "Alternative forms of energy - the future of the planet" and "Save the climate on the planet!", Performances on the streets of the city, drawing competition on the asphalt, discussions and meetings. On this great work of two Bulgarian newspapers and two television programs were made already. In Bryansk, we held a round table for journalists and two newspaper wrote in detail about the development of SPARE programs in the region and our trip.
The Russian side is due to the active participants of international programs SPARE-Draganov, T., S. Stefanov, A. Tsonchevu for the invitation, excellent meeting and activities.
