By the order of Moscow Department of Education the text books for teachers «Learning to be thrifty» and «Electricity in our homes» were published. The authors — Alexander Fedorov and Olga Senova — used SPARE materials as a basis for content of this publication. In particular authors used some materials of SPARE international text book, and other materials of Friends of the Baltic, Centre for Environmental Initiatives, EcoObraz (Kazakhstan) and Belarus NGOs. Also some materials of the GEF/UNDP project «Low Cost Energy Saving Measures in the Russian Educational Sector» were used. That project was developed in Russia in
Now energy saving is in the focus of Russian national policy. Every region must develop theur own programs for energy saving and energy efficiency and educational activities on this issue. In this conditions SPARE experience and material is extremely valuably and should be requested. But very often officials in the regions «do not see» SPARE NGOs, and prefer to request the development of educational materials to their «pocket» commercial or state organizations, which do not have such experience.
These organization, receiving such a request, find SPARE as the most developed and well presented in internet educational resource. Sometimes they invite SPARE experts as a text writers, but often use SPARE materials and even not mention.
In the publications «Learning to be thrifty» and «Electricity in our homes» of Moscow Educational Department (official publisher is Contact Ltd) all links are made very correctly. The experience of SPARE is mentioned in the text, and links to SPARE web-site as far as links to all used publications of SPARE NGOs and partners form Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus are made.
