Coordinator NGO Viola L. Zhirina conducts a practical training session for a new Energy teamIn 2010, NGO Viola began to initiate the creation of energy teams in each SPARE -school in the Central Federal District of Russia. There some brigades, each consists of 2-3 teachers and two school groups: of 10-13 and 14-16 years.
Members of the "Viola" help to provide a monitoring and an energy audit in each school, to organize the theoretical lessons and practical activities. Our energy team does not only make warmer the school for the winter, look for options for saving energy and water in school and develop their methods of cooling schools in the hot summer without a fan. These developments were reflected in their school projects for the SPARE-2010 competition and were published on school websites.
Foreign SPARE-school: The Secondary School № 44 from Gomel, Belarus, and the Saint Cyril and Methodius Gymnasium from Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria got this information. We began to share their materials, techniques, photographs, video greetings. In March 2011, we conducted an international Olympiad of posters and projects, power crews, using computer technology. Over 300 students from three countries participated in the Olympiad. In April 2011 Olga Sharman, the secondary school teacher from school № 44 from Gomel, Belarus, one of the founders of the energy team in her SPARE-school, came in Bryansk to the conference of Russian teachers of the SPARE-schools. She showed interesting presentation and suggested working together. On same day, the International Network for Energy SPARE-Brigades was created. Bulgarian students supported this initiative by Skype. We also suggest to all energy teams becoming a part of the Net!

The Science Day - 2011 in Gymnasium № 1 of Bryansk region (Glinishchevo, Russia), SPARE–school, is devoted to the new steps in the work of the school energy team.
