On the 11th of November in Uzbekistan the SPARE international energy saving day was celebrated in 18 schools and 191 participants in the clubs passed about the classes and described to students about the program, the anthropogenic environmental effect, about global climate change and the program SPARE.
Information about the adaptability of polar bear to the severe conditions caused great interest in children. They were astonished by information about the fact that the anthropogenic activity decreases the number of population of this large animal. About 30 postcards were filled out and sent to different housing committees and local authorities. In addition to this, many children promised to tell about to their parents, why it is necessary to insulate windows and doors.
Window insulation
In the second-half of day it was carried out practical seminar for insulation of windows in the orphanage № 24 near Sabir in the Rakhimovskiy region of Tashkent.
There are 81 children in this orphanage, from 3 to 11 old. The orphanage was built in 1971. In the two-story building, many of the windows are covering large areas, but in the majority of them there is only one glass layer; therefore the large heat losses are present. workers of the adjacent schools - 159, school “Sukhrie”, school of the skills of № 2, the educators in the orphanage were invited to the seminar.
At the beginning of seminar we described the reasons for a global climate change, the possible contribution of each inhabitant of the Earth to the problems and their possible solutions. Postcards here were also filled, and they will be sending to several committees, in the residence towns of participants in the seminar. Then we moved on to the practical part. Children from the club “Researcher” and employees in the orphanage saw the new technology of 4 windows in the sleeping and play room. After this, we gave the remaining materials for insulating remaining windows and replaced the incandescent lamps with the energy-efficient in this orphanage.
