We invite you to join the SPARE international energy saving day on the 11th of November 2008.
Saving energy is important for improvement of local and global environment. Nobody can do everything, but if everybody does something, we can achieve a lot together! In order to increase attention for the importance of energy saving, SPARE arranges an international energy saving day. Schools and pupils from many countries will participate, and we invite also your school to join!
On the 11th of November, we suggest that your school and pupils implement one or more of the following activities:
-Save consumption of electricity at school or at home. Form can be found here, or you can get it from your national SPARE coordinator.
-Write a letter or postcard to local authorities about the need for energy saving. See suggestion here, or receive it from your local coordinator.
-Write an article to a local newspaper about energy saving.
-Make an exhibition about energy saving at your school and invite local authorities, press and parents.
You are very welcome to send information of your actions on the energy saving day to SPARE. Please send short information about your actions, copies of letters and photos to spare@spareworld.org, and we will post it on our website. You can also give text and photos to your national SPARE coordinator.
