Lesson of energy-saving

On February 16 a very unusual lesson has been held at boarding-school #2, Karaganda. The lesson has been organized by «220 volt» company in partnership with «EcoObraz» NGO.

«220 volt» company workers have changed all the incandescent bulbs at the school to the energy-saving ones and the EcoObraz training team has made lessons for elder students to explain why such changes happen at their school.

During the lesson students have known what are differences between the ordinary bulb and energy-saving one; they’ve calculated how much money can be saved by a family if using the energy-saving bulbs.

Experienced teachers and trainers have told the students why it is so important to save electric energy, reduce CO2 emissions and how energy-saving bulbs can help in it. Students have known a lot of interesting information about greenhouse effect, energy-saving and new eco-technologies.

It is obvious that children have been satisfied by the lesson: they’ve known a lot of new, have got a good deal of impressions and things to think about. Possibly, some of them have stated thinking of their lifestyle and influence to the environment. Students have promised to tell about energy-saving bulbs to their friends and relatives.
