On 7th May 2011 a regular meeting of SPARE Youth Club took place in Baladzhary village. Members of the club are schoolchildren actively participating at the International school project on energy and resources saving.
The club was organized in 2008 by the initiative of Seving Abbasova, teacher of geography. She won at the “Energy and environment” competition for school teachers of Azerbaijan.
Besides permanent members of the club the meeting was attended by seventh grade students wishing to become members of the SPARE team.
High school students demonstrated examples of acid rain pollution of oceans and atmosphere, the possibilities of using alternative energy sources and told about the threat of nuclear power plants and environmental issues.
At the end of the meeting 14 seventh graders closely acquainted with the activities of the club and wished to become its members.
